Call for Session Proposals
Hey, everyone -- Get those brains busy and put fingers to keyboard! The SIDLIT conference is scheduled for July 30-31 and we are looking for presentation proposals. I’ll bet that some of you are reading this and thinking, “I would do this, but I don’t have anything to talk about or show.” My response to that is, “Think again!”
Have you tried out some new software this year that you really like? How did you involve your students in learning with technology? Have you developed a process for getting things done that others might want to use or adapt? Or, maybe you have an idea for improving student learning that you want to toss around with your peers and get their feedback in a constructive and collegial atmosphere. Any of these cases – and others – could lead straight to a terrific presentation proposal.
The proposal form can now be filled out and submitted online (woo hoo!). We work in an exciting field and there should be no shortage of great ideas for using technology to make a positive difference in the lives of our students.
So, go to the beautiful new SIDLIT website (www.sidlit.org), create a user account, register for SIDLIT, then click Submit a Session on the Home page to find the proposal form. Fill it out and submit it not later than May 1 , please. We'll notify you on or before May 15 to let you know if your proposal was accepted for the program or not.
Let’s make this year’s conference one of the best, yet!
